47- Dulcimer- 2-5-2007

Picture of a dulcimer

Dulcimer

In dulcet tones the strings doth sing,
A dulcimer, a gentle thing.
With nimble fingers, melodies unfold,
A harmonious tale, a story untold.

Its wooden frame, so finely carved,
Resonates with music, softly starved.
Notes reverberate, like whispers in the air,
Invoking emotions, beyond compare.

From mountain peaks to valley low,
The dulcimer's sweet melodies flow.
A bridge between heaven and earth,
A vessel of music, of infinite worth.

With dulcet sounds, it paints a scene,
Of rolling hills and meadows green.
A symphony of joy, a balm of peace,
Its dulcimer's magic, will never cease.

So let it strum, let it pluck and play,
Captivate our hearts, night and day.
For the dulcimer's song, forever true,
Weaves a melody, just for me and you.
